10 Geekiest iPhone Education Applications

Your iPhone can be your best and worst study buddy. The best part is understandable with many apps available to help out students from around the world learn in a fun way. What’s the worst part? There are also education apps that are out to take away your mind off your studies and veer it to some things else and yet they are perceived to be “educational”.
1. Alphabet Sound Machine
With this iPhone app, young children are given a lesson or two about the alphabet. What’s geeky about it? It is very traditional and quite boring, especially for the advanced minds of the young generation.
2. American Accent
Can you believe it? There are some folks who are willing to pay for an iPhone app that will give them lessons on how to acquire the American accent?
3. Spacetime Converter
Thinking out of the box is healthy for any school kid but not at all times. In this app’s case, it would not be as interesting to look at things, like space and time, differently. Basically, Spacetime Converter is like a calculator that lets you convert length into time and vice versa.
4. Grafly
This app is basically a graphic calculator made interactive. Yes, it is useful. But in some ways, you will need to crack up your brains to understand how it actually works. So it will require too much from your end to be able to benefit from it.
5. InoSnooze
This is a wake-up app that will help keep you awake through school papers, reviews for an exam, and even a homework by setting up an alarm every so often. Does that make sense? Not for me.
6. Dress Up and Makeup
This helps you through outfit changes and the like. It will give you lots of ideas on different hair styles, clothing items, shoes, makeup, and accessories. Young girls can go gaga over this app but it surely will not help them earn a good grade in school.
7. Bejeweled
This is a fun app. However, it is not very advisable to find lying around when there are mountainous school works that need to be done. It can take away your mind off completely your lessons and it’s a guilty pleasure for some. Thing is, it does not teach you anything or work up your mind as much to keep it as active as you want it to be.
8. Expert Video: Gambling
This iPhone education app provides knowledge about gambling, the tricks, the games, the skills to learn – anything and everything about it, really. If this app is not used properly, it can lure you out to a bad vice.
9. Drunk Dial
This iPhone app lets you view the origins and even ingredients of different drinks, mixes, and spirits. It is educational in a sense that it provides knowledge on what’s on your drink but is it useful?
10. Local Concert
This one lists down the cool hangouts and happenings in the area. It is a useful app for those who like to go on a gimmick night for a refreshing getaway from school pressures. Parents, however, must ensure that their children do not have access to this when it’s a school week.
iPhones are truly useful but you have to know how to use it well. Stay away from apps that will take your mind away from what you must be focused about, which is school and learning things that are significant in your everyday life. Does your chosen app or an education app you are eyeing is good enough?
