Can iPod Touch be used with Metro PCS?

My daughter wants an iPod Touch for Christmas but we have Metro PCS as our cell phone carrier. I thought the iPhone and iPod products were exclusively used by AT&T. So is it possible to purchase the iPod Touch for her and have cellular service through Metro PCS for the Touch?

An iPod Touch is not a phone. It cannot be used with any cell phone carrier. An Iphone is a phone. It cannot be used with Metro.

    Hi:

sorry but no, the iPhone is not available for use on MetroPCS (or Verizon for that matter). The cell system is not the same. ATT utilizes GSM and MetroPCS uses CDMA as it’s signal base. The two are not compatible.

  4. Why are you trying to use an iPod on a cellular network? That’s like asking if Metro PCS will work on your remote control.

By iPod Touch, do you mean iPhone?
