fixed my iphone from water damage…but cant charge my battery?

so i dropped my phone in the toilet yesterday. after blowdrying it i finally got it to work. but now it wont charge. it shows the red battery sign telling me to charge it. after putting it on the charger the apple logo will show up and stay for about 20 minutes then sometimes my phone will turn on and ill be able to text and check my voicemail for about 3 minutes then it dyes again. is there anything i can do or should i blowdry it again?

I dropped mine in the water too. Managed to take it apart and replace the battery and the little unit with the data connector and speaker. It comes on but still doesn’t charge or sync. At least I know how to take the phone apart and fix other problems that might arise. I see broken iphones going for 150 bucks on ebay. Sorry for your loss :(

Well, funny thing is, I dropped my iPhone in the water a couple of days ago too! but fortunately mine works perfectlyy fine now. your not suppose to use a hair dryer because it can fry your circuits because the hair dryer is real hot. what I did was about 4 hours after I dropped it in the toilet I figured out that you can put your phone in a bag with rice and silica gel and that will drain out all the water. I wasn’t too sure if it would work but I still tried & I left it in the bag for about a day & a half and it worked after I took it out. the only problem now is that my apps won’t work. if you have a solution for that let me know! thanks, hope I could help in any way!

something like this happened to me yesterday. I’ve been super depressed so I have been on my laptop looking for solutions my biggest lead was the irevivespray but I am kind of afraid of taking apart my phone as it shows in the video it is probably my last resort
so good luck to you too
