I installed the Categories App on my jailbroken iPod 2G running 2.2.1 Firmware and all my apps are gone! Help!?
I just installed the Categories App through Cydia. I made 2 folders. One titled “Games” and one titled “Apps”. I put all of the apps in those 2 folders except for Music, Photos, and Videos. Now, only those 3 apps are on the main screen. I can’t see the “Apps” or “Games” folder. Also, I put the Categories App inside the “Apps” folder. And I saw the word libhide while Categories was being installed. HELP!!!!!

So I hope I’m not too late!! I did a very similar thing by accident. The answer is quite simple actually and it doesn’t require any restoring. If you are running on 3.x then all you have to do is go to the spotlight and search for the “Categories” app. That will allow you to open it even though it is hidden in an unviewable folder. From there you can just delete all of the folders if you want, or you can try ad learn how to use the application properly because it’s actually really awesome when you do. Good luck and I hope you didn’t restore already.

same thing happened to me, but mine is 2.2.1 firmwire jailbroken. I WILL NOT RESTORE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
