Internet Access on iPod touch 3g via bluetooth phone?

Ok, I have searched all across the entire web for like 3 days and can’t find anything about the 3g ipod touch. i was wondering if it is possible to connect the 3g ipod touch to a 3g internet enable cell phone via bluetooth, or is it the same thing as a 2g ipod touch, being that you can only use it for the stereo headphones. and to the people that would say, “Google is your friend!” i saw to god if you put that i will find you and beat you down, lolol. i am a very tech inclined person, im not dumb.
sware* lol
swear* ok i got it this time lol
This is not possible since the iPhone currently does not support tethering. This may or may not be possible with a jailbroken iPhone but I seriously doubt you could to anything other than tether it to a computer across the USB connection.

nope. it an’t gonna work. the BT in the touch doesn’t have the hardware capabilities to do it. It really sucks too because I thought that I would be able to connect my touch BT to my Phone as a modem.
but you could set the laptop up to create a wireless network and connect your touch to the wireless network.
As far as I know the bluetooth on an iPhone is not good for anything but attaching headsets and headphones. I know this because recently a client came to us wanting an application built for iPhone that interfaced with their Bluetooth weigh-bridges. Just had to tell them its not possible at any cost. There is no support for such bluetooth profiles as PAN, Serial and the good stuff. Just remember that iPhones are a consumer device – locked down, regulated and closed – not really good for geeks. If I know you (and it has been a while) you would probably be better off with the Motorola DROID, or if you can bear to get a Windows Phone (you don’t have to tell anyone) I can recommend the HTC HD2 which is simply awesome and outperforms an iPhone in every way, (unusually for Microsoft) being the most open and interoperable platform.
