Each smartphone are amazing devices, they are well-rounded in all areas but each phone has it own unique features.
Blackberry Bold 9700:
-3.2 megapixel camera with flash + autofocus, video
-Internal GPS with BB maps
-Media player with 480×360 px 2.4 inch screen (looks great)
-Wifi, Bluetooth
-Standard headphone jack
-Amazing QWERTY tactile keyboard
I think the keyboard blows away all other competitors and the awesome camera is a bonus. Blackberry is great for business and texting (in my opinion). I have nothing else to say. Awesome, awesome phone.

iPhone is arguably the hottest on the market, its OS is amazing i could write a page of its features. It has a iPod, cover flow, and podcast support, movies on it looks great (no more squinting). There are 100,000 applications made for the iPhone, and many of them are quite useful. Gaming on iPhone feels like a actual games console, and games are cheap and fun.Mobile safari is best mobile browser available, multi-touch controls makes this phone revolutionary.
However……
iPhone comes with AT&T…which is..erm..bad. The call quality is un-amazing. Your stuck with iTunes (runs like dream on Mac, written badly and lags on windows). Camera is lame, no flash makes me cry. Touch screen keyboard a problem for some people. Gaming battery life is a measly 3 hours. Like all apple products, you want it, but when you actually buy one, a NEW one comes out. i recommend waiting a few more months, 3GS is nearing the end of its life cycle, rumors say new iPhone is coming out soon.
