Blackberry app world?

Ok I have the blackberry bold 9000 but not a data plan I use the wifi to browser the internet for free. I can download stuff and browser for free but when I run Backberry app world it says you need data service to use it. So is there and way I can use it over the wifi and if not don't you think we should like the iphone dose. We should all go to blackberry.com and request an update with it!!!
