You cannot play downloaded files, but if you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch, you can download the file on the iPhone (or iPod) and then connect to it via Veency to remote control the iPhone (or iPod).

There is no hope for this kind of *.ipa for PC emulator?

even iTunes don’t open .ipa files, see that you can download the .ipa files using iTunes, but don’t open .ipa files, what’s very frustrate for those which wait some time downloading the file believing that iTunes will open this files.
I thing if even iTunes has not created some way to allow us to open .ipa files in PC environment (windows or linux), maybe there is some important reason hidden.

There is a way to see (some of the) ipa files on the PC. Make sure that the extensions for known files can be shown, change .ipa (from the file you have) into .zip, extract them by using WinRAR/WinZIP/others and voila!

Here is my answers…
Original Question- Yes you can run them but only with a dev tool
1.NO
2.NO
3.Yes but only on a jailbroken ipod
No, you can’t. The iPhone Simulator is buildt on Intel-code, while the iPhone processor runs ARM. It is not an emulator, it is a simulator.

In theory, yes, with an emulator, but it may not work exactly like the iphone on a touch computer, if there even is an emulator, or can legitimately download the game without possession of an appropriate iPod.

another possibility: open them via VLC media player, every included file will be shown in the playlist, all playable files can be played
