Do iPhone apps work on the Palm Pre?

Can’t decide between the Palm Pre- and the iPhone. I already have an iPod Touch- so I’m leery of upgrading to the iPhone, as it would seem I wasted money on the Touch. Anyway- do iPhone apps work for the Palm Pre? Part of the attraction to the iPhone is that I can buy prepaid cards for apps/songs without having to use my credit card over the internet. I have not seen a similar prepaid card for the Palm Pre- so that would be the one thing stopping me: the need to use my credit card to buy apps (don’t want the app charges added to my monthly bill either). So, do the iPhone apps work with other Touch Screen phones, or just the iPhone?
