Facebook Mobile for iPhone question PLEASE HELP?

i have facebook mobile and mobile e-mail for the iPhone. the e-mail account that i have being sent to my phone is the same i use for my account on facebook. is there any way that i can stop receiving notifications through e-mail and start receiving them instantaneously through facebook mobile? any help is greatly appreciated
