Help me select between Blackberry Curve 8900 & iPhone 3Gs?

I am from Canada and want to buy a quality smart phone without locking myself in any contract. I have never used iPhone or Blackberry before but now want to buy either of them. Also I won’t be taking any data plan and rather benefit hot-spots at my job location and wireless connection at my home to check mails or net surfing. But I am quality conscious and want the device should have the following features of very good quality; Display, Resolution, Camera, Pictures & Videos, Music player Another thing I want is user friendly features of adding, deleting and moving pictures/videos within the folders in cell phone. I am caught between BB Curve 8900 & iPhone 3GS to chose from. Can some one help me for this or suggest some thing even better? I would be really thankful as I want to get into the Smart-phone world.
