Help with my iTunes account?

Ever since the iPhone 3.0 software came out I can't download anything on my iPhone. It's not that the phone has a problem but whenever I type in my password it tells me that the password is incorrect, but it's the same one I've always entered. Things download fine on my computer and I can put them on my phone from there but it's kind of annoying to have to plug in my iPhone to my computer every time I want to download a new app.
