How do you get One Care wifi to work with iPhone?

My mom has a 2G iphone. When she tries to connect to her wifi provided by One Care, it says and looks like everything is ok. She gets the wifi bars. But when she tries to use the internet, apps, mail, etc. nothing happens. Seems like the internet is not going through. There are no error messages when she connects and puts in her password. I've heard One care is an all-in-one antivirus program, and not necessarily the router. Her router is linksys, but she said when One Care was installed, it took over the router too. So i'm a little confused, if she is accessing the correct network. However, the only wifi network that pulls up at her house says "One Care" and not "linksys". She called One Care tech support, and they told her it was the iphone, which I know is not because she is able to steal her neighbors wifi. Anyone else had these problems?
