I just got an Itouch pleasee help!!?

I got an itouch for christmas, and i bought the applications for games off of my laptop because i have the 1.5.1 or whatever version, and the update isnt working so i dont have the app store on my itouch. anyway, i downloaded the apps and its not downloading into my itouch. pleaseee help. thanks. the update wasnt working for me- it said i didnt have the approval or something. it says its going to update it into an iphone, so i stopped trying after that...!
