Iphone disabled. Help me?

I put a password on the iphone (Yes, the iphone it's self, not the sim card.) I typed the wrong password in too many times, and now it is saying "Iphone disabled. Connect to i tunes." When I connect it to itunes, itunes says "Cannot connect to iphone because it is lock with a password. You must enter the password on the i phone before you can connect to i tunes." Do you see the loop hole I am in here? How can I resolve this issue? Thanks for any help in advance.
