iPhone update 3.0…Activate/jailbreak/unlock?

Hello i am looking at updating to 3.0 i have a 2G phone and a vista PC i know i can use redsnow to jailbreak and utrasnow to unlock but i will need to activate also.. also i want to wipe all of the settings off as if it whee new phone, will this be done automatically thanx george
