Is the newer iphone worth waiting for?

Is the new iphone worth paying that much more money when you get a few more features? How is the battery? I hear on the iphone you can not foward messages recieve picture messages or bluetooth is that true? I have also been told when you are typing a regular smms text message you can not flip teh phone to landscape like when you surf teh web…Is that true?
