My google phone doesnt connect to laptop i dont have pc suite. where can i get 1 from?

i swapped my iphone with a friend for his google phone( G1) he said there is no cd needed to connect the phone to the pc or laptop. and my laptop says u need a disk. so where can i download the pc suite fo the google phone or where can i get the cd from? thankz.
