My iPhone won’t turn on…Any tips?


My iPhone keeps displaying the Apple logo when I press the power button, but automatically shuts off after. I got my iPhone 3g a little over a month ago. I fully charged it last night, and was even using it this morning. However, when I just checked on it, I found it turned off. I pressed the power button, and the apple logo showed up. Then it turned off again. My iPhone won't stay on. I've tried resetting it to no avail. I plugged it into my PC, and the computer won't even recognize it. The iPhone is practically new...I've never dropped it, it hasn't been water damaged and the screen is perfectly intact. I don't want to take it to the Apple Store because it's a good distance from where I live...Any suggestions?

    Fuh!! Tried doing the “plug into mac – press power and home key” thing again. Counted down to 12 secs, and then from a blank white screen, I had a black screen with an apple logo come up after 5 secs. There was a notice that my SIM was locked. Just keyed in my SIM access number and soon after I got my normal screen back and the battery charger notice came up. Thank God for people who like to help people! Here’s my paying it forward

    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. IM HAVING A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH MY PHONE
    1) I HAVE AN UNLOCKED IPHONE AND IM USING TMOBILE AS MY CARRIER
    WHICH I CANNOT GO TO AT&T AND JUST GET A REPLACDEMENT… AND I DONT HAVE THE CASH TO BYE ONE SO PLEASE HELP. THIS PHONE IS MY LIFE

    MY phone is constantly vibrating….it will not cut on or off. It keeps going to a black screen then a white screen. I don’t know how to cut it on or off…it won’t do anything but show me a white screen!! HELP

    Try taking the sim card out for awhile. Put it back in and see if your iPhone turns on. If not,you may have a defective battery and maybe need a new one.

    Try resetting it by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake button (on the top right of the unit) and the Home button (circular button on the iPhone?s face) simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
