need good iphone persuasion?

So i have enough money to get an iphone 3g S now and whenever i ask my mom if i can switch plans to get it she gets kind of upset. She already told me she will look into it but i just don't think it's fair if i can actually pay for it myself! She also is really busy with work! So how can i persuade her into taking me down to the apple store to get it? Any suggestions or ideas!?
