Palm Pre on Verizon? Opinions on the Pre itself?

Alright, so this may sound crazy, but I have a question about the new Pre. I work for Verizon and I have gotten it confirmed that we can put a Palm Pre on our network providing that the Sprint carrier lock on the phone is disabled. Does anyone know how that carrier lock can be disabled? I am assuming you'd have to call it in and get the lock, but we all know that isn't happening because this Palm is probably Sprint's only shot at getting new users. So, anyone out there in the Yahoo world knowing how to manage this? I've unlocked GSM phones before and that is not a problem, but CDMA unlocking is a new animal for me. :) Also, if anyone has a Pre already, what do you think of it? I played with one for about 10 minutes and really enjoyed the experience. I had an iPhone before working at Verizon, so I am really curious as to if this could be the potential rival to the iPhone everyone hoped the Storm would be (and we all know that went down pretty quick haha). Thanks so much for the help / opinions! :)
