Scheduling recurring events in Iphone calendar?

I want to add recurring events on my Iphone calendar. For example, a meeting that occurs every third Wednesday of every month. When you set the repeat frequency in the Iphone, it goes by date. So for monthly recurrences, it shows up on the calendar as the same day of the month every month, regardless of what day of the week it occurs on. Anyone know how to change it so it doesn't go by date but instead by a particular setting?
