what iphone pc suite or something similar can I use for my 2G iphone with 2.2 firmware?

I already have iphone pc suite v.1.7.0.2 and v.2.0.0.7.1. I have tried both versions and they do not respond. I am also thinking it's a vista problem. I'm running on Windows Vista Home Premium
