When moving contact data from Palm Desktop to Outlook, what data gets lost or moved to wrong fields?

I have to move my contacts and calendar from Palm Desktop to Outlook because I am getting rid of my Treo 680 and switching to the iPhone 3GS. I have heard from others that when you export from Palm and import into Outlook, you loose some of the data because they don't have fields for it. Does anyone have first-hand experience with this? If there is a program that syncs with iPhone that could better handle this import, I am totally open to suggestions.
