I have an iPhone 3gs, version 5.0.1, and I already have redsn0w 0.9.9b8, but i just need ipsw 5.0, but i have no idea where to find it, or what it even is. i just found out about it through watching a jailbreak video on YouTube. so if anyone could tell me where i might be able to find it, that would really help.

My current firmware is:4.3.5
I need to restore it because Im stuck in apple logo screen. I never updated to 5.xx. I am just thinking maybe apple will automatically update my baseband if Ill restore it using shift+click to an ipsw file because it will contact from server. Just for precaution.

OR is there a way to downgrade from 6.0 to 5.1.1? I’ve been trying by using a built ipsw and the one that apple provided, but i always end up with the error 1600. Ive tried using iReb but that doesn’t work.

Read or Add Answers...I am going to sell my iphone 4s tomorrow and I wanted to restore it. While I was restoring it, something went wrong and iTunes told me that my phone had been disconnected. Since it was in the process or restoring, it put me into recovery mode. Now, every time I try to restore it again, I hold shift and click restore and select the .ipsw file and before it can even start restoring, my iphone turns off and it says my iphone can’t be found. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also can’t put it into DFU mode. When I am holding the buttons down, it comes back on and is still in recovery mode way too soon for the iphone to go into DFU. It is also jailbroken, and the redsn0w recovery fix did absolutely nothing.
I have an Iphone 3g I bought off my friend and he ruined the battery so I replaced it and it worked fine, however I didn’t touch it for a month and it died. I set it in recovery mode now it won’t get out if I use a custom ipsw and I get error 14 if I use the regular one I get error 21 help me out. PS Do not tell me to take it to an Apple Store.

Read or Add Answers...Hi is there any way to totally backup an iPod touch 4g iOS 5.0.1 jail broken. So what I’m saying is if I could backup everything into like an ipsw then I could restore and all of my cydia stuff and app store stuff back onto my iPod as if it was never restored. Is this possible?? Thanks for your help
Read or Add Answers...So I downloaded redsn0w on my macbook and tried to unlock my iphone with it and it said that it was “Unable to recognize the IPSW”. So I downloaded “iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw” hoping that would solve the problem, but it didn’t. it keeps saying “Unable to recognize the IPSW”
