I’m frequently traveling to places and would like to find a great app that I can view maps in while offline and it shows road names and city names anybody know of any let me know thanks
Read or Add Answers...I have the thunderbolt, on the gb ota update. But ever since ive had this phone its ad bad gps locations on maps and on the city im in. Now 3 days ago the weather widget has been skipping the day that im on.it has the temperature but on the bottom it skipps the first day.today os monday and ot starts. on tuesday on the widget.the current weather doesnt say the day just temp and weather.please elp me on solving these problems. Even the iphone had an excellentclear and accurate gps and city. Thank you
Read or Add Answers...I bought this iPhone 4 on my trip to the US last month and only realized when I got home that it didn’t have a SIM slot. Pretty stupid of me, but I’m using it as an iPod and I’m generally satisfied, except for one thing.
GPS wont work for some reason. The phone is updated to iOS 5, Maps cannot determine location and iGO can’t acquire GPS access. Keep in mind that I do not have SIM card present, could that cause the problems? Also I’m using phone in Airplane mode, but I tried without it, same thing happens.
What could cause this, except a broken GPS receiver? What are the chances that it’s a hardware problem?
Read or Add Answers...I have tried out Siri on the demo iphone 4s that they show in the phone stores, one thing it disappointed me was that it doesn’t work with Australia locations. It only works with U.S locations.
I wanted to buy the iphone 4s, but now realized that it would be a big mistake. If it can’t find Australian locations, then there is no point of buying it. I need gps and maps assistance, i always type to find locations and i get tired. Having a voice assistance to find and take me there would be just perfect for me. But such a problem with this, i mean how long is it going to take before Apple updates its siri to the complete version? Siri doesn’t find Australian locations. Is Apple going to be as stupid as Nokia is? I’m saying this because Nokia promises to release updates, fixes(I hardly doubt), and firmware updates but eventually they take more than a year…if Apple is going to be like Nokia and take more than a year from now just to get siri to support Australia locations, that will be nonsense because 1 year from now i won’t need their so called siri.
And please don’t give me dump answers, the same answers i get from people who love Nokia. Because dump answers always upsets people.

I just need to decide which one to buy, Samsung galaxy nexus or Apple iphone 4s (16Gb). If Apple fails me with it’s Siri and lack of support, then no point of buying it i’ll just go for the Android 4.0 that’ll be fun for sure.

When i go to maps or my applications it thinks i am still at my old address. i reset all settings and went back through the setup and it still comes up with my old address as my current location and its annoying. please help;

The biggest problem I’m running into is the creation/code of a compass that would guide people in the general direction. If anyone could provide helpful information that would be much appreciated.
Read or Add Answers...i am iPhone 3GS user.i purchased Papago M8 from Appstore and it works great on IOS 5.0.but after i updating my IOS from 5.0 to 5.0.1, i find out that my Papago apps no longer working and it keeps saying “searching for satellite”.i never update my baseband to ipad baseband(6.15) cause i know it will disable my GPS.my current baseband is 5.16.05.
anyone please help me if u know what is the problem.TQ
P/S: GPS works great with other apps(google maps,foursquare n etc) but not with papago m8
