I am considering an itouch as a scheduler. It is my impression that if I enter an appointment, the itouch will sound an alarm when the appointment time arrives and "read" the message in voice. Is this correct? Any explanation of the itouch reminder features would be appreciated. Thanks

I am in service with AT&T. I am trying to decide between a blackberry and an iphone, but I'm not sure which one would be better. This is mainly for personal use like texting, facebook, web browsing, etc. Any thoughts on which is a better device?

We have four phones on our line, the bill is already like $180, but my sister is paying for internet because she needed a PDA for her job. It's an extra $30 for the service. I would really like an iPhone, i don't care about the internet, but there's no way around it. Is it $30 for each INDIVIDUAL phone? I wanted to get some kind of nice smartphone for my upgrade... thanks guys

Hey there,
I was just searching around the internets and I've gotten a little curious.
Is there such a thing that is like a mobile phone/PDA that is also a computer?
I've been thinking about the iPhone, but something that is/can be also a computer.
Is there anything of this nature in existance? Thanks,
Dan

The iPod Touch connects to the PDA but the PDA gets a service connection Progress Error:PPP timeout (0x1231) and doesn't connect. Should I change the connection time from PPP to SLIP or CSLIP? I get further with the PPP as the PDA at least tries to sign on. I get immediate errors with SLIP and CSLIP. I have the query DNS checked and Automatic IP address checked. I want to pair the PDA and iPod so I can beam contact info to the iPod and not have to reenter all entries manually.

My tech-friendly family of 5 has a Blackberry (work), two iPhones, 2 Sansa Fuze MP3 players (kids), an iPod Shuffle and an iPod Nano. We also have one spot on the kitchen counter where we tend to charge these. That means we always have a snarl of chargers. Several of the items can use the iPhone charger, but there are at least 3 different chargers to deal with. We looked into the Powermat ... but it gets terrible reviews and is terribly expensive ($100 plus $40 for each "adapter"). $200+ seems absurd for this kind of a solution. Does someone make a single cord that has various (cheap) adapter components? Specifically, the items listed above?

I'm an AT&T customer, own a Palm Centro and an iMac desktop computer. I like the Palm, but the controls are small and not all my data syncs up through the pitiful Palm Desktop software. I am considering the iPhone because of the larger on-screen buttons, better sync features and the ability to play music, but I'll use it mostly to--duh--make telephone calls, keep appointment and keep track of customer contact information. I don't plan to spend all day on FaceBook or Twitter, probably won't download any movies from iTunes or use the GPS. Sooooo, what should I buy? 8GB, 16GB or 32GB? Refurbished? Any special apps I should consider when using the iPhone as a PDA? Thanks.
