White Screen in IPod Touch – Need help soon..?

I have IPod which is not . I was palying a game when the screen suddenly went , Tried Rebooting my ipod, the sound works and i can hear my ipod doing things correctly, except that display is I tried restoring my Ipod to version 3.1.2 but i dint work as well, please help me soon
Is DFU is to bring Ipod to restore before restoring via ? If so i have tried it too
