So I'm in the process of unlocking my iphone, and when I click the "Make It Rain" button, the iphone goes into recovery mode, but never leaves it. The screen does not go from the blank screen to the "GeoHot" one. What do I do? Thanks

My girlfriend gave me her BlackBerry Bold cause she is gettin the new iphone but i have tmobile but i really like this phone, is there anyway i can use this phone and have data with tmobile, its an AT&T branded device and when i called tmobile they said that they couldnt do it but AT&T might, what else can i do? is there anything or a hopeless mission? =/

The iPhone is exclusively for AT&T, I don't understand how you can put it on another cellular network and get the firmware to work with it. For example, Verison has the "fave five," but all the phones for that particular netowrk have special software for selecting your favorite five. The iPhone dosent have the software for the fave five. How is this possible and what networks actually work well with the iPhone other than AT&T? Im thinking about getting the original iPhone and cracking it for T-mobile.

Im having problems unlocking my iphone 2g it has 2.2.1 when ever i try to use quickpwn it will not go into recovery mode i even downgrade to 2.0.2 and winpwn just closes on me im running windows vista any help i will appreciate it i been trying since monday and i cant get it to unlock please help

If i unlock an iPhone with turbosim, will i be able to update it via itunes or will i have to remove the sim to update. i guess that officialy unlocking the iPhone is better, but what dangers do i expect when unlocking via turbosim?? And with jailbreaking, i noe that to update the version you need to do a restore then update and then jailbreak again. So when i do a restore, does that get rid of all my songs and pics and vids??
